Warrior or Peacemaker?  Red Liberal hot passion or cool blue Libra thinking?  That’s the energy that’s out there! The Moon danced into Mars at 11:07 p.m. last night.  Feel the shift in energy as we gear up for Thanksgiving dinner plus the Canada election tomorrow.  Make sure you vote ABC tomorrow!  If your Sun, Moon or Ascendant are in fire signs of Aries, Leo or Sagittarius, you noticeably will be affected by the emotional energy over the next couple of days.  The rest of us will have moments of our day which will be influenced by the Moon burning in this fire sign.

Empower yourself and use the Moon energy wisely!  I’m grateful for the emotional energy of the Aries Moon.  In my birth chart, Aries is one of the prime indicators of what drives my passion for different things.  The Moon sign is another indicator of where we find our passion.  So during the approximately two and a half days the Moon is in Aries, I choose to totally indulge the things I’m passionate about so that I’m effectively channeling that fire energy.

In your family life and at the office Mars rules Aries and can be fighty and feisty.  Mars is the God of War if you look back on your mythology.  So Mars and Aries either burn with the passion of love or move along to the polar opposite of fear and anger.  They are at polar opposites to one another.  Most wars were started out of passion and fear rather than passion and love.  How sad.  In your family life, you can move along the continuum and use this Mars energy for loving should you choose to.  Now Aries/Mars is assertive, so expect that people in your life might be rather firm in their resolve today.  Expect the kidlets to challenge you!

In your love life and friendships of all types this can be an exceptionally challenging time in relationships.  It is impulsive, energetic, competitive and impatient.  Oh yah, throw in a hearty dose of lust and passion as well.  Now one way or another, that Aries/Mars energy is going to be pervasive.  You get to choose how you want it to manifest in your relationships.  Channel the fire energy effectively and engage in some healthy competitive fun whether its shooting some hoops or having a walking race.  Just get active and enjoy!

Reflection Questions!

  1. What Moon sign are you?
  2. How does your Moon sign blend with the Aries Moon sign?
  3. What are your 4 most important passions in your life?
  4. How can you be assertive instead of aggressive creating a win-win situation?

So how do our Canadian politicians engage the Aries/Mars energy on the last day of campaigning? Let’s look at their combined charts with Canada to see how they are going to fare today and tomorrow.

Canada’s birth chart has Neptune in Aries.  Neptune energy goes one of two ways between the polarity points.  People will either celebrate and indulge their addictions plus their passions; or they will look upon this Thanksgiving and election time as more spiritual events.  Mars trine North Node is quincunx to Neptune suggesting that our collective feisty psyche behavior is just below the surface, ready to come out at a moment’s notice.  That by the way is one of the collective lessons we have to learn about so that we are peaceful warriors instead of a fighting collective consciousness.

Elizabeth May [Green] has no planets in Aries in her combined chart with Canada.  Her Aries is in Sagittarius so she will get some extra energy to push forward her agenda.  May is absolutely passionate about her country and about her Green agenda.  The Moon is square her combined Pluto suggesting she likely will transform or change how she sees her position on the political stage.

Jack Layton [NDP] has no planets in Aries in his combined chart with Canada.  His Mars is also in Sagittarius, inferring that he likely will demonstrate his passion with feisty discussions today.  The Moon is transiting opposite his stellium.  This stellium is part of his Grand trine so expect him to rise in the polls and in the popular vote.

Stephen Harper [PC] has  no planets in Aries in his combined chart with Canada.  The Moon is transiting opposite his stellium as well.  His stellium is part of a Tee-square suggesting that while he thinks he has engaged the masses, his lack of discernable passion has really put them off.  His Pluto opposite Jupiter is being triggered by the Aries Moon.  That infers that he has not changed his image enough to expand his seats.  In fact, many Canadians will get to the polls and give their votes to other parties.  His Mars is opposite the transiting Moon suggesting that he has made a lot of people angry by his behaviors.  Translation:  he likely will lose seats.  There is a great potential for him to lose his job.  Uh-oh he should have consulted an astrologer on the best day to hold the election!

Stephane Dion [Liberal] has no planets in Aries in his combined chart with Canada.  The Aries Moon is creating a quincunx to his stellium.  While people will be uneasy voting for him, the energy that is around Dion is not as difficult as Harper.  In addition he will get a shot of positive energy from women voters with his Venus in Sagittarius.  His Chiron also gets a rush of positive energy from the Moon on election day.  This could be enough to advance him along to a different place in history.  Many people will literally be undecided until they enter the polling both with Mercury in retrograde.

Dance in the Thanksgiving Moonlight & be grateful for democracy!
